Fair Housing
The Fair Housing Project provides community outreach, education, advocacy and enforcement activities regarding fair housing laws to ensure that no one in Palm Beach, Martin, Okeechobee, Hendry and St. Lucie Counties is denied housing on the basis of race, sex, color, religion, national origin, disability, familial status, sexual orientation, age, marital status, or gender identity and expression.
There are no income requirements to receive assistance with our Fair Housing Project.
Heirs’ Property Project
The Heirs’ Property Project is committed to preserving generational wealth and promoting community stability among historically underserved residents of Palm Beach County, Florida. We offer free legal representation to heirs who have inherited family homes or land. We guide clients through probate administration and other legal processes in order to obtain clear and marketable title to real property. Additionally, we provide estate planning counsel to homeowners to ensure their property is gifted to future generations according to their wishes.
Rapid Response Eviction Assistance Project
The Rapid Response Eviction Assistance Project provides legal advice and representation to tenants facing eviction. Our staff helps tenants resolve landlord-tenant disputes regarding non-payment of rent with mediation, settlement agreements, eviction defense, and by educating tenants about their rights under Florida law.
Homeless Legal Prevention Project
Project staff assist tenants with disputes with their landlords regarding repairs, lease terminations, and prohibited practices.
