West Palm Beach, FL – On Saturday, April 18, 2026, The Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County hosted its “Justice For All Celebration” at the Kravis Center, welcoming 500 guests to an evening themed “Waves of Justice: from the Shores of Amalfi.” The evening was expertly chaired by Justice Barbara Pariente (ret.) and Jack Scarola, Esq. The signature event raised over $550,000, delivering a powerful boost to Legal Aid’s programs serving low-income and vulnerable residents in the community.
The gala honored individuals and organizations for their exceptional commitment to equal justice.
- The firm Sasser, Cestero and Roy received the “And Justice for All” award for their extensive pro bono work on behalf of Legal Aid clients.
- Stacey Mullins Esq. was presented with the “Suzanne and John Foley Serving Justice” Award, recognizing her enthusiasm and dedication to Legal Aid’s clients.
- The “Harreen Bertisch Children’s Advocacy Award” was given to The Frederick A. Deluca Foundation for their impactful work in improving the lives of children in Palm Beach County.
As a surprise for Bob Bertisch, County Commissioners Maria Marino and Gregg Weiss read a Palm Beach County Proclamation honoring Bob’s 45 year career as the Executive Director of Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County.
The event’s success was also made possible by many generous sponsors. Justice Barbara Pariente (ret.) and Judge Fred Hazouri (ret.) and the firm Searcy Denney Scarola Barnhart & Shipley served as the Presenting Sponsors. The Platinum Sponsor was Smith, Ball, Baez & Prather Injury Lawyers.
