Nonprofits First Certification Award
Serena Baldwin of Nonprofits First presented the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County with her agency's Certification Award at Legal Aid's January 27, 2009 Board of Director's meeting. Ms. Baldwin stated that, "This award signifies that Legal Aid is certified as an agency having sound nonprofit management."
Bob Bertisch, Executive Director, accepted the award on behalf of Legal Aid.
The Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County, Inc., founded in 1949, is a private nonprofit, 501 (c)(3) organization dedicated to providing free legal services to disadvantaged children, families, elders and individuals living in Palm Beach County. Projects include the Domestic Violence Project, Juvenile Advocacy Project, Foster Children's Project, Ryan White Project, Fair Housing Project and Elder Law Project.
