Association of Women Lawyers 6th Annual Bookfest for Legal Aid
Palm Beach County Chapter of the Florida Association of Women Lawyers (FAWL) held its 6th Annual Bookfest at the Barnes and Noble in City Place to benefit the Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County. Members of the organization and their guests donated over 75 books and gifts for Legal Aid's silent auction to be held on Saturday evening May 9, 2009 at the Palm Beach Convention Center as part of the 21st Annual Pro Bono Recognition Evening. The event honors those attorneys and other professionals in our community who performed outstanding volunteer work in 2008.
The Bookfest was sponsored by Gordon & Doner, P.A., Craig Goldenfarb, P.A., McCabe Rabin, P.A., Palm Beach County Chapter of FAWL, The Suskauer Law Firm, P.A., and Jane Kreusler-Walsh, P.A.
The Legal Aid Society of Palm Beach County, Inc., founded in 1949, is a private nonprofit, 501 (c)(3) organization dedicated to providing free legal services to disadvantaged children, families, elders and individuals living in Palm Beach County. Projects include the Domestic Violence Project, Juvenile Advocacy Project, Foster Children's Project, Ryan White Project, Fair Housing Project and Elder Law Project.
