John Foley

December 12, 2016 - John Foley is the Supervising Attorney for Project DULCE. This year marked John’s 20th year with the Legal Aid Society.  He received his B.A. from University of Miami and his Law Degree from the University Of Miami School Of Law. Prior to joining Legal Aid, he worked in a Miami law firm and specialized in civil and commercial trial litigation, land use and zoning, and labor and employment law.

At Legal Aid, John is also the Supervising Attorney for the Non-Profit Legal Assistance Project, the Medical Legal Partnership Project, the Wage Dispute Project, and the Ryan White Legal Project. In addition, he currently serves as Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Comprehensive AIDS Program, Inc. and is a member of the Board of Directors of the Comprehensive Community Care Network. He is a member of the Florida Bar, the Palm Beach County Bar Association, the Society for Human Resource Management, and the Human Resource Association of Palm Beach County.

In 1997, John received our “Human Rights Advocacy Award”. In 2004, the Palm Beach County Literacy Coalition recognized John with the “President’s Award” for his work with the Non-Profit Legal Assistance Project. In November 2006, he was honored with the “Friend of Planned Parenthood Award” by Planned Parenthood of Greater Miami, Palm Beach and the Treasure Coast. In November 2009, he was presented with the “Unsung Hero Award” by The Lord’s Place. John is a frequent lecturer throughout the state on topics related to risk management, human resources management, and labor and employment law.
